Avon, Connecticut

Avon was originally settled in 1645 as part of Farmington. It was known as Northington, or the North Parish of Farmington, until it was incorporated as a separate town in 1830, taking its name from the Avon River in England. In 2020, Avon's population was 19,795 with a median age of 45. The town covers 23.15 square miles, or 14,454 acres and has 6,970 households with a median income of $125,536.

Bloomfield, Connecticut

Originally land of the Poquonock Native Americans, the area was first settled in 1660 as part of Windsor, then as the Parish of Wintonbury in 1736. Wintonbury comes from the names of neighboring towns Windsor, Farmington, and Simsbury, and was incorporated as Bloomfield in 1835. While the town's southern and eastern fringes are more densely populated, the northern and western sections are more rural with meadows, woods, and farmland.

Incorporated as a town in 1854, West Hartford was previously a parish of Hartford. West Hartford is home to University of Hartford and the University of Saint Joseph. West Hartford is home to regular events which draw large crowds from neighboring towns, including the Elizabeth Park Concert Series. The town also hosts the annual Celebrate West Hartford event, which includes fairground rides, food vendors, and stalls by local businesses.
